In 2025, the gallery opened its permanent space at @alserkalavenue , Dubai, bringing international and Middle Eastern artists together in a dynamic program of exhibitions and cross-cultural dialogue. Through exhibitions, art fairs, and long-term artist support, Taymour Grahne Projects continues to strengthen the UAE’s art ecosystem and inspire the local art community. 🖼️ Framed Stories #04 ✨ Meet Sylvia Ong — a self-taught Malaysian artist based in Dubai. She began her creative journey with a diploma in cinematography and has since worked across multiple creative fields, including directing TV and radio programs, as well as producing commercial and fashion photography, before finding her voice in abstract painting. 🎨 Sylvia’s work is shaped by the spaces she’s lived in, where sound, music, and colour converge to create visual rhythms that reflect nature’s healing power. Collaborating with musicians and composers worldwide, her paintings embody lyrical abstraction — a synesthetic experience where texture, colour, and movement flow together to tell a story without rigid structure. 🌿✨ “When I listen to music, I feel the colours and the mood as if it was a film. From this point of view, I felt the desire to create art that gives one the sense of life being a journey. The space we pass through, the time we experience: Isn’t it as if we traveled along a piece of music, while following the slightest, brilliant nuance? In fact, with my paintings I would like to transport emotions, which fill the space and bring a new perspective to the world.” — Sylvia Ong Sylvia Ong is currently an Artist-in-Residence at The Arts Club Dubai. Marking a new chapter in its cultural programme, @theartsclubdubai has selected Sylvia Ong and Salmah Almansoori for its first Artist Residency. Framed Stories #03 ✨ Artwork by Maitha Demithan — From drawings in the sand to experimental image-making, Maitha Demithan’s practice moves across photography, scanography, painting, and drawing. Rooted in colour, texture, line, and shadow—her work explores memory, perception, and transformation.
