“Ikemba Na’bia,” translated from Igbo to mean “Ikemba is coming,” is a thought-provoking piece inspired by Samuel Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot.” Set in 1900s Igbo land, eastern Nigeria, the story follows two young handymen, Okoro and Nedu, who await promised jobs, food, and belonging from the village’s influential figure, Ikemba.
At their meeting point, they encounter a white couple explorers seeking to colonize and modernize Igbo land, as well as Nonso and his servant Nnamdi, embodying a master-servant dynamic. As Okoro and Nedu’s hope reaches a peak, an urchin arrives, dashing their expectations with news that Ikemba’s arrival is delayed until the next day.
The narrative masterfully personifies the timeless struggle for acquisition without effort, as Okoro and Nedu navigate the uncertainty of Ikemba’s arrival. Will Ikemba provide the relief they desperately seek, or will their wait continue indefinitely? The story unfolds as a poignant exploration of hope, desperation, and the human condition.

THE TRIAL OF DEDAN KIMATHI
A simultaneous tripartite stage presentation involving Nairobi - Kenya , London - England and Bradford - West Yorkshire, about an African hero , first of its kind and streamed worldwide .
In a cold, damp Nairobi courtroom in 1956, Dedan Kimathi, the Mau Mau field marshal, stood shackled before British judges. The air reeked of polished wood and fear. Kimathi’s eyes burned with defiance as the judge read charges of rebellion and murder. He laughed, his voice steady as the Aberdare winds. “You charge me with murder? You who steal our land and call it justice?”
Kimathi’s voice cut through the lies of coerced witnesses. “I fight for my people’s birthright. Your empire terrorizes, burns villages, and starves children.” A young boy in the gallery watched wide-eyed, inspired by Kimathi’s flame of resistance.
Accusers offered a deal: betray his comrades and live. Kimathi smiled, sharp and unyielding. “My life belongs to the soil, to the people.” The judge sentenced him to death, but as Kimathi was led away, he sang a hymn of resistance. The boy joined in, and soon others did too, their voices weaving a tapestry of defiance.
The colonizers could hang a man, but not a dream. Kimathi’s name grew louder, the forest stirred, and the people rose. His spirit remained rooted in the Kenyan earth, whispering to the future: “The land is ours.”

The woman in African attire with a head tie is *Dame Elizabeth Anionwu,* an inspiring woman. She is a professor of nursing. She came to look for her biological father in Nigeria at her adult age. She grew up being abused as a young woman by her white stepfather, married to her white mother. She was put in a care home, and she achieved success. She met her father at a later age. Her father was Lawrence Anionwu, the first permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the First Ambassador to Italy. Despite that, she was placed in care, and her stepfather abused her because of her colour. She is proudly a Professor Emeritus, Dame, and CBE. She is always proud to be associated with Nigeria. Today at King Charles' coronation, she was nominated to carry the king's gold orb, and she represented the NHS. She is an accomplished professor emeritus.
Silently waiting for the gbas gbos of the judiciary, also 'side eyeing' bad belle people, falsifiers and no good doers.

My people,
Let's start the reconciliation process. I seek the forgiveness of everyone I may have unintentionally offended during this election period. It is not in my character to be rude or intentionally offend people. I also forgive everyone for the myriad of insults I have received, tacit or direct. We are all passionate about our positions. I have personally benefited nothing. I give to politicians. I don't take from politicians. My ultimate goal is to see a better country. And hopefully my children and their children can be proud of that country and make it their home one day. As for me, I have no other home.
From today, I will not argue who the better candidate is anymore. I will simply support and pray for whoever emerges till we need to make another case.
Tonight, I intend to sleep well. When I wake up, I will simply monitor things without emotion.
When my candidate (Mr Peter Obi @peterobigregory ) wins, all thanks to God. If he doesn't win, I will commiserate with him and congratulate the winner.
Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria
Senior Seyi Akinsola, thanks for the literature.
