This week we welcome STAANA to our mix series. The DJ, producer, and artist shares the sounds and textures closest to their heart: hypnotic grooves and sleek, detail-driven sound design. Neatly mixing energetic rhythms and rugged experiments, and drawing inspiration from the dancefloor, visual art, and immersive experiences, STAANA is a schooled musician who expresses their art through techno. The Berlin-based artist recently self-released their debut EP “Lustre”, which includes 3 techno tracks and a 13-minute ambient piece, further signifying their distinct artistic style. It brings together three techno tracks and a 13-minute ambient piece, all written and produced during a period of deep focus and reflection. The techno cuts explore movement, tension and melody. Alongside them, the ambient track stretches out into a 13 minute meditation, spacious and patient, inviting stillness rather than momentum.
Releasing this independently as an honest snapshot of where I am right now, without compromise or expectation — just sound and intention.
