Someplace, somewhere, sometime? Feels like yesterday I was stood in the fields of a castle in stroud, in the pissing rain, holding a literal and metaphorical white flag. Feels like yesterday I was stood in Beijing airport at 545am blagging my way through the visa questions. Doesn’t feel like this last week has seen @swimdeepbaby announce their truly wonderful 5th album ‘Hum’, a belter new single, a new tour and some delicious new vinyl records. 1-0 to the mighty SD. The VERY special, @readdork 100 series. Celebrating 100 (!!) print issues, it’s the biggest thing yet. An idea last February, booked from last June, 11 months later.. it’s a real thing somehow. @sportsteam / @antonyszmierek / @piri.and.tommy / @divorcehq / @blackhoneyuk / @courtingband / @limegardenband & ofc, a few tricks up our sleeve still to come. Eternally grateful for team Dork for the trust, and @muirstagrams for being the partner in crime. Liverpool win the league, Dork win the summer. LETS. GO xxxx

I’ve been thinking about what to post on @swimdeepbaby ’s ‘there’s a big star outside’ release day for a while. I think all I can say is, this is the most proud of anything and any group of people I’ve ever been in my whole life. I first met @austin.co.uk & @cavan_sd in a dimly lit east London pub in November 2021, trying to combine looking like a professional whilst trying hide how much of a fan I’d been for the last 7 years. I met @tomi.tomaski , @robert__tawny & @jamesbalmont at a show of mine a few days after. I can’t thank them enough really, they took a punt on me, and in Jan 2022 I took on the band, making 5 friends for life. The new album is so special, it’s what they’ve always wanted to make in a way, and it’s been a journey like no other. Thanks so much to @soy.carlosgris & the @subcatmusic team, you’re the best, love to @luca_c_bailey the visionary, @billryderjones , Pete & Kiki and 1000’s of others for help, positivity, work, support and love you’ve shown this band, this record and myself. Listen, stream, share, buy a record, come to a show, anything is hugely appreciated. I’ll be the one crying in the corner. Album 4 is here, and it’s a stunner. SD forever xxxx
