‘Sidhu’s gaze is unflinching, shorn of sentiment, intent on grabbing the reader by the scruff of the neck, making them look at things they would have otherwise turned their gaze away from.’ Read @adityamanijha ’s review of @ssranbir ’s Night in Delhi for @the_hindu here: /books/book-review-night-in-delhi-author-ranbir-sidhu-noir-thriller/article69810131.ece/amp/

Sitting here in the island of Ikaria writing the introduction to the reissue of my first book, the collection of stories Good Indian Girls. It’s going to have a new title: Our Cities Are Not Your Cities and will appear in September, alongside a reissue of Deep Singh Blue, to be introduced by the fantastic @debhartha . Thanks to @dharinibhaskar @karkritiques and @harperfictionindia for all their great work on this.

Huge thanks to Autumn Mitchell and the great folks at the @newenglandreview for this Behind The Byline interview. I talk about my new essay "The Art of Failure"—about theater and sex and other things—which appears in the current issue. Here's the link: /behind-the-byline-ranbir-sidhu/
