Update as of 4/1: the event had to be cancelled because not enough people signed up. You can still visit the garden if you want, but there will not be an organized tour. Hi again everyone! We’ve got one more field trip planned for next week - to the California Botanic Garden! The California Botanic Garden is the largest botanic garden dedicated to California native plants, and is located just 15-20 minutes away from campus, in Claremont. We’ll be volunteering with their horticulture team for half an hour, then taking a one-hour guided tour of the garden. If you’re interested in attending, please fill out the sign-up form by this Friday (link in out Linktree). Carpools can be arranged if needed. Thank you and let us know if you have any questions!

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all surviving midterms and excited to have next week off! To celebrate the break, we’re going to be taking a field trip to the LA Cleantech Incubator (LACI)! LACI is an organization that helps LA-based startups dedicated to clean technology. They do a lot with electrification, clean energy, zero-emission vehicles, recycling, and circular economies. Their campus is in downtown LA. If you’re interested in attending, please fill out the sign-up form by this Friday (link in out Linktree). Carpools can likely be arranged if needed. Thank you and let us know if you have any questions!

Starting tomorrow morning at 9 am, the donation window opens for Broncos Give! Please share and repost if you can to help support CPP’s Bee Campus certification! There are 5 matching opportunities over the next two days when all donations (across all Broncos Give campaigns) will be matched up to $5,000, until the funds run out! These are the times when gifts can have double their normal impact, so even if a donation is only $5 it still makes a difference! *However, if the site registers that you’re sitting on the computer with the site open at 8:59 am, that donation will not be matched. Donors need to sign in at 9:00 am for it to count. Thank you for your continuing support in promoting pollinator conservation at CPP!! We’re so excited to finally see the garden come together (hopefully in a few weeks)!! #broncosgive

SSRA is participating in Broncos Give this year to help raise money for our Bee Campus project. This is a 36-hour fundraising campaign that starts Wednesday (3/18) at 9:00 am and ends Thursday (3/19) at 9:00 pm. The donation window hasn’t opened yet, but you’re welcome to share the link and flyer if you’d like - you can find the link in our linktree! We’ll be sharing updates and matching opportunities throughout the campaign, so make sure to check our stories for updates on Wednesday and Thursday! If you’re interested in helping out with our campaign, you can also sign up to be a “champion” - this allows you to win prizes (for yourself) as well as extra money for a CPP cause of your choice by sharing the campaign and convincing people to donate. If you’re interested in becoming a champion or just want more information, send us a dm! #broncosgive
