The Whittingon Stone or Dick Whittingtons Cat. Erected 1821. Our buildings, monuments and sculptures are built by people for people. Today was a celebration of this and how a charming sculpture of a cat, and the story behind it, can connect with so many people of all ages and walks of life. The conservation repairs are progressing well and our team had a very enjoyable day talking through the works with the local school.
