The MEGA Airstream is getting a massive safety upgrade. While the 1997 Airstream B190 4x4 is built for adventure, the factory F350 front brakes were never truly designed to handle a 10,500-pound camper van with ease. To fix that, I’m installing the SSBC-USA V8-Barbarian Brake Kit. Why the SSBC V8 Kit? This isn’t just a standard pad swap; it’s a complete transformation in clamping force. Here’s why this kit is a game-changer for heavy-duty rigs: • 8-Piston Calipers: Moving from the stock 2-piston setup to 8 massive stainless steel pistons per caliper provides incredible pressure distribution and stopping power.  • Billet Aluminum Construction: Machined in the USA from aircraft-grade T6061 billet aluminum for maximum strength and weight savings.  • Heat Management: Large bore pistons and high-friction, low-dust semi-metallic pads help eliminate the brake fade that usually happens on long descents. • Direct Fit: Engineered to bolt directly onto the stock spindles and work seamlessly with the factory hydraulics and ABS.  Safety is the #1 priority when you’re off-grid or hauling through the mountains.
