Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of SRM University-AP, Amaravati, emphasised that the university is actively shaping India’s quantum capabilities, while Dr Raj Kumar Upadhyay, CEO, C-DOT, highlighted the importance of indigenous innovation in building secure digital ecosystems. Ltd. The inaugural session was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SRM AP, along with Dr Manikandan V M, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering; Prof. Jayaseelan Murugaiyan, Associate Dean (Admissions, Outreach and Research Collaborations), SEAS; Prof. Saraju Mohanty, Dean – AI; and Ms. Sugandh Gupta, Representative, Global Infoventures Pvt. Ltd., Faculties and Scholars. The FDP is designed to provide hands-on exposure to advanced AI technologies and the computational systems required to run them effectively. The programme covers modern AI topics such as object detection, Large Language Models (LLMs), RAGs, multimodal agentic AI systems, and model fine-tuning techniques. Since these technologies demand high computational power, the sessions also focus on practical aspects including GPU utilisation, efficient training workflows, distributed computing strategies, and AI model deployment pipelines.
