Captions are just awful to write. I have no clue what goes in here. Shouldn't the video be enough? Everything that I want to say is said there. Why do I need this additional thing to fill with #needless #hashtags? Sometimes the caption box just stares at me like the abyss and I need to figure who what to type into it to please the algorithmic overlords, as I deal with the meaninglessness of life. I hope the person who designed this who I know has never created any worthwhile art in their lives but somehow controls the entire narrative of what goes on people's feeds in between influencers posing semi-naked, and influencers pretending to say something heartfelt before weirdly segueing to selling cosmetics, to that actual cosmetics brand serving an ad of their own; I hope that person was among the 11k people fired by Zuckerberg cos they finally get to take some time off retiring to some mountain where they meditate on their actions and come to the conclusion that their design is just so counter intuitive to any form of community building. I hope once they realise this they decide to express their feelings through a video, and once they try and share that video it on this godawful excuse of an app, they too have to stare at this stupid caption section and have the same existential crisis I go through and come to terms with what an odious product they have built.
