I am super excited to be returning to Charlottesville Opera in their upcoming double bill of Patrick Soluri’s Embedded in the role of Producer and The Tell Tale Cell Phone in the role of Mr. L. Usher. I can’t wait to come back to this company that I love so much and work with such incredible colleagues.
I have had a blast making my debut with the Mercury Chamber Orchestra this past week. I am so grateful to reconnect with old friends and meet new incredible colleagues!!
This week, we had the joy of welcoming 5th graders into the magical world of the performing arts ✨🐭🎶
In partnership with the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, Mercury Chamber Orchestra presented Mozart: Cats and Mice – a playful, reimagining of Mozart’s Bastien & Bastienne, written when he was just twelve years old. Recast as charming mice (with a glamorous cat-lady twist 🐱), this fairy-tale opera blended music, storytelling, and humor to explore themes of love and loyalty.
Best of all, this performance was offered completely free, as part of our shared commitment to artistic access and educational outreach — ensuring that every student has the opportunity to experience the power and joy of live music.

A recent graduate of the Mannes College of Music, where he earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Voice Performance, Samuel brings a well-rounded background in both performance and administration to our organization.
His professional experience includes roles at Étude Arts, Classic Lyric Arts, Ken Benson Artists, and The New School University. In addition, Samuel is an accomplished Bass-Baritone, with performances at Charlottesville Opera, Central City Opera, Sarasota Opera, Bronx Opera, Utah Festival Opera, and Teatro Nuovo.
We are confident that Samuel’s expertise and passion for classical music will be a valuable asset to Fourth Wall’s mission, and we look forward to his contributions.
