Today, we pause to honor a woman whose strength defies words.
For the past years, @donyelledenise8 has been fighting cancer with a courage and resilience that has inspired everyone blessed to know her. She’s faced moments where others would have given up. She’s been referred to hospice twice and refused both times choosing life, choosing hope, choosing faith.
This time, as her cancer has progressed, Donyelle has accepted hospice care. And even now, her bravery shines. Her spirit is steady. Her heart is still full. And her fight her incredible fight has touched our community in ways she may never fully know.
Today, we honor you, Donyelle.
We send you love, light, and peace.
We thank you for the example you’ve been a reminder of what it looks like to stand strong in the face of the unimaginable.

It was taken on my college graduation day the day after my mother’s birthday. 🎓💗
My mom, my sister, and I were together, and she was so proud. It felt like she waited for that moment to see me graduate
Just a day or so later, she went into a deep sleep… and never woke up again. Three weeks from that day, she transitioned. 🙏🏾
This photo captures her last good day one filled with joy, family, and love. I’ll cherish it forever. Her faith, her music, and her spirit continue to live on through us and through the Sharon Randolph Foundation, which honors her legacy of love, healing, and faith. 🌸

A mother of three Sherron, Stacy and Sedric (deceased), and grandmother of six, Sharon dedicated her entire life to her music, and rearing her children and grandchildren. Sharon was a single mother who made sure her children had everything she could provide, but more importantly a strong spiritual life in God. In 2000 she lost her battle to breast cancer.
