Magnolia Warbler - three hanging out in the yard this morning. Such a brilliant yellow with high contrast stripes and a little grey hat on. #springbirdmigration #birdsofgalveston
I’ll have an exhibition of my gulf-coast themed sculptures at the Tyler Museum of Art @tylerartmuseum as part of their 𝓔𝓷𝓬𝓪𝓼𝓮𝓭 series - on display May 12th-August 30th. The artist reception will be August 20th.

The wind and rain brought sooo many visitors today! Buntings, tanagers, orioles, warblers, swallows, catbirds, white ibis… I saw a woodland thrush and a rose breasted grosbeak too but taking photos through my binoculars has proven difficult. #birding #springmigration #birdsofgalveston
Question for my fellow ceramicists - how do you solve problems with pinholes in your glaze on stoneware pieces in the mid-range? I love this glaze but it’s been pin-holing on areas where the glaze is thicker (and greener, more vitreous). I’m using buff clay, firing to cone 6, not soaking but the kiln is full. Bisque is 04. I’ll add you in the comments if I know you might have insight. Thanks!
