📣 BIG NEWS!
Scuba diving has officially arrived at Squids 🤿
Whether you want to try scuba for the first time, get certified, refresh your skills after a long break, complete professional certifications, or dive our local sites with experienced guides — we’ve built our scuba offerings around small groups and quality instruction.
We run well under maximum ratios so every diver gets proper guidance, clear explanations, and the time they need to feel comfortable and confident. This approach creates better divers, safer dives, and a more relaxed experience from start to finish.
If big groups have ever put you off scuba, this is your sign.
Ever wondered what our “cold dips” look like? Think hugs to start the morning, a mindful moment, a stretch, a refreshing water plunge, and coffee to bring it all together. This week, we also said goodbye to the lovely @sophie.paige.smith , who is heading into an exciting new chapter of her life.
Join us for this free community event every single Saturday at 6am. Whether you bring a friend or come alone, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, recharged, and connected. It’s the perfect way to feel more at ease in the water and boost your mindset for the week ahead.
This is what instructors do when they’re not instructing. A fun dive for the boss today…@baresports dry suit, sidemount 2x12L steels. 🤙🏼🤿

Line diving sessions are one of the best ways to improve your freediving.
A line gives you a consistent depth reference, which means you can focus on the important things — relaxation, equalisation, technique and efficient movement in the water.
During the session your instructor coaches you while you’re diving, then afterwards we review your footage together and break down your dives so you can see exactly what’s happening and where small adjustments can help.
Progress in freediving often comes from tiny changes — and line sessions are where those changes happen 🌊🤙🏼
Meet Rob — the guy who makes the ocean feel like home 🌊🤙🏼
As our lead instructor, Rob isn’t about rushing skills or ticking boxes. He’s about slowing it down, meeting you where you’re at, and giving you the time + guidance you actually need to feel calm and confident in the water.
That’s the Squids way. 🦑
