I remember that feeling of being somewhere new for the first time. There is so potential and possibility. In 2010, aboard a train in London with some of my best friends, seeing this place with wide eyes. We were there to play and record music. With all that came this rush of excitement and of course our nerves were on fire. "A passenger on a train" is the second track on my EP I'm releasing next Friday, May 3rd. A lot of this album uses sound sources from that era. A way of remembering, reflecting, and letting go. That music has always been there for me as a way of bringing my favorite people together, and that it's constantly pushing me forward as an individual. I don't know much else. "It was the song from the birds" is the sixth track from BDCMW. Had an idea of taking recordings I had of birds and translating their songs in to something more human sounding. I didn't play a single note on this recording. I imported the samples in to Melodyne where I pitched them down 3-4 octaves, then tuned them to a key range (c major in this instance). I then exported that in to MIDI notes that I attached to beautiful instruments from @spitfireaudio and some soft synths. At the end was this wonderful little musical change and that's the only part I looped. Shipped it to a four track tape recorder for fun so I could mess around with some tape noise and modulation. The very start of the track is the only time you hear one of the birds. Pitched down it sounds like an owl haha. It's been sitting around for a few years, happy to include it on this EP. "Exhaling" is the fifth track from BDCMW. The only track to prominently feature guitar. Wrote it on a stormy day, think the power went out during one take. Included some of the rain in a field recording. The idea was to play the same guitar part a bunch of times but only one take, creating kind of a blurry effect while also improvising variances over time. EP out this Friday, thanks for listening.

"When you found me" is now live wherever you stream music. This is the first track I'm releasing from an EP I'll release at a later date. Been sitting on it for a long while, happy to let it go on my birthday. Idk seemed like a fun thing to do. A friend of mine said it "sounds like your soul" and it truly is a flood of emotion for me, something that kinda poured out and I had to process for a long time. It might be my favorite piece I've written. It's dedicated to all those who I've met in my life that have loved me, befriended me, or had an impact on my life. Humans and non-humans.
