Found and shared by @xifyar . This show was supposed to happen at Johnny’s Bagels on Main Street Bethlehem, but something happened and we had to move it. Maybe all of our friends who worked there got fired or quit? I don’t know. I remember the owner being pretty rotten to us, but we were annoying teenagers so maybe it’s understandable? We ended up in Ray’s basement that night and the recordings were released on cassette as SofO-002. I dubbed on my stereo at home or on a boombox at work. Probably 150 were made? Of those, at least 20% had to sound like shit. I truly had NO Idea what I was doing. We re-released in on Dead Format several years later, after taking the master tapes to Eric Eisenberg for the best shining up he could manage. There were, I think, 300 of that version? Duped on a real duplicator, so they sound pretty good. I’d figured out a few things by that point. If memory serves, this is where Robert and Erik and Denise met for the first time, which led to a good many years of collaboration and friendship between us all. I miss this time and I very much miss these people.
hey team, there’s a new william h. song of refuse and rubbish out today! here’s a little sample of it with some moving pictures.
i was out to breakfast with doug on sunday and got a text from liam asking, “when do you think you’re heading over?” i said, “hey doug, want to film a music video?” this is that.
you can find the full thing on bandcamp or those other places.
