The 2025 Thirroul Music Festival lineup is here! 🌊
After a year off, we return for the fifth edition of our one-day festival, taking over the town for one big day of original live music by some of our favourite local and international artists.
One ticket, multiple venues. Grab your wristband and wander through Thirroul’s most intimate music spaces and experience the very best in sun-soaked folk, indie grit and alt-country heart.
✨ For the first time ever, we’re running on a Saturday!
✨ All tickets are sold via Anita’s Theatre and give you access to all participating venues.
✨ PLEASE NOTE: As the festival moves into licensed venues, we can no longer accommodate young children. We’re sorry about this! Discounted tickets are available for ages 12–18 (12–15 must be accompanied by an adult).

Greetings from Vanuatu. Bought some super cheap flights via jet star and are travelling around the main island efate with the family. With the recent earthquake and last years cyclone it has been hard to find supplies at times but the people are gorgeous (like Fijians) and the scenery is incredible. This is a volcano in front of where we are staying. Super cool thing cate Blanchett owns the house next door to where we are staying. She loves spending the summers here but haven’t spotted her yet.
It’s been an interesting 3-4 months since the closure of spunk. Excited to get back on the horse and put on coalchella last weekend with friends katesy and Jeb. We had a great turnout and the performances were sensational. Many thanks to all the acts for performing. @chris_frape_photo for these wonderful pictures!!!
With just a few weeks left of the record label I wanted to personally thank the people that made it possible. Kieran (pictured here at my 23rd? Birthday) and I started spunk fanzine in 1994. sadly Kieran wasn’t around by the time the label started in 1999 but we had some incredible times togther in the 80s and 90s. It was really difficult for him to get around so one time I took will Oldham @wignifier over to his house to surprise him. He smiled for days. I feel he was by my side for the 25 years and I guess our original ethos of supporting independent artists (and not selling out) always ran true. Thanks hugely Alyson west @gabsryan@pictures01@julietteyounger@michaella_sm who helped drive the label over the years and totally make the label what it was. Following the release of new albums from @charmoffinchesband (april) and @shiningbiird (june), i am calling it a day on Spunk records :( Ive had a wonderful, wonderful 25 years and had the opportunity to work with and/or meet most of my favourite artists. It’s all been a dream really! I hope a show or record i put out got you incredibly excited or even helped you through a tough time! And most importantly THANK YOU for buying the CDS and LPS that kept the label afloat for so many years!
The back catalog will still be distributed by Universal, and i’ll pop up here and there with my interest in @cheatin_hearts_records , Thirroul Music Festival, Coalchella etc.

Happy new year!!!! Spunk is 25 years old today!!! Thanks to the countless artists who we’ve released!! Still can’t believe we’ve released nearly 700 albums. Hopefully we will put on a show this year to celebrate!! This is a photo from long beach in jervis bay. I’ve just spent the last month living in culburra and this has been a regular haunt of mine. Clearest water in the pacific :) couple of spunk acts are playing the Illawarra folk festival today @charmoffinchesband@zigg_zagger and if you are in the northern rivers #juliebyrne is at the coorabell hall. Happy 25th birthday to Bonnie prince Billy’s “I see a darkness” as well which started the incredible journey! @wignifier
