I forgot that I took a bunch of clips at @dave__zylstra ās Annual Chicken and Reggae party at the end of June before I left on my trip out west with intention of putting together a little reel! This was such a killer day playing records, hanging out with great people, eating great food, Dave and his family absolutely rule and Iām grateful to have been apart of it!
4000 miles in 30 seconds. Life is pretty fucked up but im grateful for the things I am able to see and do and the people iāve had the privilege to meet and experience moments with.
What dreams are made of. LA - MKE with some of my best friends. Grateful for all of the experiences, all the people met, all the memories made. Longing to get back out there, no worries except how to keep the bikes together and where weāre rolling to next.
The idea! old Route 66 on choppers only. 6 of us came together burned the midnight oil to get bikes done. @create_transport got the bikes out to Long Beach to start our journey at Santa Monica pier. Day one was crazy where we all learned to split lanes and fly past traffic. A fuel issue held us up at a Harley dealer for a while but after we figured it out we got food and kept on our way. We found our selves at 29 palms and had a wonderful stay at @jreadyrollin friends who were wonderful. Day two was a great breakfast and welp I left my key on and then immediately started having charging issues. But it was manageable. As we pushed a long break downs started to get the best of us and we got to see some of old Route 66 but had to take more highway then weād like and more night riding then weād like. But as a team we kept on. We stayed at some amazing camp spots and saw some amazing things all while playing catch up. We did it as a team even when one by one breakdowns kept all of us from moving forward. @booksbikesandbrewcity and @cardosystems edge kept us all in communication. Being stranded on the side of the road is scary but it was less stressful when we could communicate while riding. And when we werenāt broken down nothing but 70 rock in our ears keeping us moving down the road. The plan didnāt work out as well intended but with the struggles we made the trip what it became an adventure. 6 started on choppers 2 chopper made it home on their own power. Everyone made it home safe. A few bikes scattered across the country to figure out to get the home later. Would I do it again? Hells yes. Do I want to do it again? Hells yes. I am closer to these friends now more than ever. We saw some crazy beautiful stuff and a few of us almost and probably should have got arrested. Doing fun shit with your friends is a must for me. I love these guys with all my heart. We were pushed to the limits at points but with the hard comes the great. What an amazing adventure. Plans change but friends donāt. Canāt wait for the next one. But first some well needed sleep. I have to go through all the footage and make a video. Thank you @mikeydiehn for the use of the 360 cam.
