Side quest story time.
I’m usually the guy that goes to events just to hang out and kick it with my friends in the cyphers, talking to people I’ve danced with for years and catching up on life when I’m back home.
While I was out in Vienna, I got to see where my friends live and how they move day to day, getting to experience their world for a little bit.
The homegirl told me there was an all-styles thing to krump music @krumpontherize.at and said we should check it out. I'm always down to see something new, but competitions usually aren't my get down.
I pulled up just to watch… but last minute I decided to enter.
Well, here we are.
It was fun, and I'm glad I get to have these side quests while spending time with friends and making new ones.
I'm pretty sure those moments are called living in the moment, and the world needs more of that right now.

On this trip to Europe, it wasn't even about dance. It was to connect with my FBC fam out there and take some pictures.
The sidequests were dancing. One of the crew members said, "yo we are going to a competition in the mountains," that place was far as all kinds of f#cks.
When I got there i started filming and taking pictures to document the movement and things.
Then this little girl asked are you going to compete?
I didn't want to tell her no.
I asked her if she wanted me to.
She nodded her head with the biggest kindest smile i have ever seen and it was the cutest thing!

Message to the young dancers: get to know the OGs. Hear their stories, learn why they move the way they move. The styles you love all come from these guys.
To the OGs: these young dancers don’t always know how to talk, and that’s crazy. Don’t let my generation be the ones telling your story while you’re still here.

Funny story
I said I wasn’t gonna enter. I’m in my late 30’s now and figured this was for the younger generation. But a younger dancer really wanted me in, so I showed up for them.
I realized it’s not about me. It’s about sharing something—your story, your feelings, your pain, and most importantly, your smile.
No matter the outcome, it’s about creating a moment we all get to experience together. Thank you.
