February 25 marks the anniversary of the Grand Opening Ball at Mechanics' Hall in 1859! 167 years later, we’re keeping the tradition alive with a lively contra dance in the Ballroom next Wednesday, February 25.
Come for the dancing, stay for the music by the incredible Midcoast Maine group Springtide @springtidemusic , with calling by Hannah Chamberlain.
New to contra dancing? No worries! A beginner lesson starts at 7:00 PM and everyone is welcome.
