A new season approaches and new opportunities arise. Would your child benefit from a sport where TEAMWORK-RESPECT-ENJOYMENT-DISCIPLINE-SPORTSMANSHIP are cornerstones of everything a sports club can provide? Here at Stockwood Park we are dedicated to the giving the very best experience your child can have by playing rugby. With our team of fully RFU accredited coaches and back up staff we offer an excellent training and match day experience for players and parents alike. In rugby we don’t accept sideline abuse of players, referees or coaches, and we adhere to the half game rule too, which means your child will always get a game, this makes the touchline such a friendly place to be that you can’t stop yourself from making new friends over a coffee. So if you’re fed up with your current sporting experience, or have seen rugby on the TV lately and just want to give something new a ‘try’ we have teams to join in the following age groups: Micros - a fun introduction to the egg shaped ball for all 3-6 year olds. Tag - non-contact rugby for Year 2 and Year 3 to understand the fundamentals of the sport. Run forwards - pass backwards. Contact - Year 4 to Year 7 - building up slowly the core elements through the age groups - tackle, ruck, scrum and maul Contact - Year 8-12 - looking even more like the game you see on the TV, getting more competitive and bringing in advanced techniques. But rugby is for posh people and it’s expensive right? Absolutely not - we are Luton’s Premier Community Rugby Club and we pride ourselves on having players and members from every corner of Luton. As for the cost - you won’t find a cheaper sporting activity in the town - Micros are just £40.00, with all other age groups only £100. That’s not per month, that’s for the whole season. That’s it, no joining fees, no match fees, no expensive kit or equipment. For 10 months of sport we want it to be really affordable, we even let you pay for it by monthly Direct Debit to make it even easier. Still not sure? Come and give it a go, you won’t be disappointed - absolutely *free* all through September, all we ask is you bring a great attitude and desire for some (potentially) muddy fun.

🚨 Important News !! Club Announcement !! 🚨 Stockwood Park Rugby Club are delighted to announce their new Head Coach for the 2026/27 season will be Ronnie Speakman. A Stockwood Park spokesman confirmed on Friday that they are thrilled to obtain the services of such a talented coach. Ronnie has wide ranging experience including schools rugby in both South Africa and the UK, Towcester RFC, Buckingham Women, Buckinghamshire County and more recently Buckingham RFC Men’s backs and attack coach. With this wealth of experience, they went on to say, we are confident that Ronnies experience will assist the club with their ambitions following on from a hard, though rewarding, 2025/26 season for both the Mens & Womens sides. When asked Ronnie also confirmed that he was very excited to be joining the London Road side, having such a friendly and supportive community club environment, coupled with real and tangible potential, he can’t wait to get started. With a significant number of Colts coming through the Youth ranks this season to play senior rugby and player numbers on the increase across the Club, Stockwood Park RFC are very much on the cusp of something big if the size of the 400+ crowd who witnessed their Bedfordshire Shield win two weeks ago is anything to go by. There are exciting times ahead at London Road, anyone interested in joining any of our teams, please visit or DM us for further details. #owtp #rugby #oneclub #newcoach #joinus

Sunday Mini Presentations !! Last of the posts from the weekends end of season presentations sees the U10, U11 & U12 receiving their medals and awards. With so many brilliant young players coming through the ranks it’s a near impossible task to pick players for individual awards. So that makes it even more special if you get one. It’s been a record season at London Road as we celebrate our 50th year of Mini and Youth rugby at London Road. Our thanks to all the parents, coaches and volunteers who make the club such a special place. #owtp #oneclub #rugby

Sunday Minis Presentations !! It was standing room only on Sunday as we crammed all of our Minis in to the hall for end of season presentations. Here we see our Micros up to U9s receiving their medals and awards. Well done to everyone who took part this season and congratulations to those who stood out for individual recognition. Though it is always a tough decision for the coaches to decide who should get one as there are so many young players who stand out for different reasons. #owtp #oneclub #rugby

Huge News in a Huge Week for Park !! For the first time in a generation Stockwood Park have two players selected for East Midlands Men’s XV squad. According to Club Historian Nick Powley, not since the early 90s when we were Midlands Champions have we seen Park have two representatives at East Midlands. A testament to efforts of the players themselves Mark Smith and Nick ‘Croc’ Dundee, as well as Head Coach Tom Edmunds. Massive congratulations to all involved, what a week it has been at London Road, the presentation dinner tomorrow will certainly be a night to remember. @eastmidsrugby @tomaedmunds @nickosaurusrex123 @marksmith412024 #oneclub #owtp

If your memory of it has faded, here’s a reminder !! With the warm glow of being Beds Shield Winners still permeating the London Road air, and with Presentation Dinner just 48 hours away, now seems a perfect time to share some images of last Fridays victory. Thanks to @izzyvisuals__ for the incredible photography, capturing a night that ought to live long in the memory of those who played, watched or are in any way involved at Stockwood Park. #oneclub #owtp #winners
