I know it’s hard to keep track of the ridiculous news. In September 2025, a shooting occurred in Dallas, TX. A man shot into an ICE facility. One immigrant was fatally shot and two injured before the shooter took his own life. The FBI Director, Kash Patel, posted an image of “evidence” of this being a targeted attack on ICE officers (even though no officers were injured). The bullets said, “Anti-ICE”. Because someone who is not in support of ICE, would also say, “Anti-ICE.” We don’t use cuss words. That’s bad. 🫠
These photos were taken by @_forestgremlinart_ at @enchanted_ravens “Slutcracker” production. I performed a drag routine as “The Elf on the Shelf” with commentary on the surveillance and police state.
I didn’t talk about it with anyone then but this was a difficult time when a friend was kidnapped by 🧊 and I was also helping care for his baby. A lawyer told us if the baby got taken she’d never see the parents again. Now there are so many countless reports of abuse in the detention centers. I was so relieved when the family made it safely out of this country. So many children are being forced to endure unnecessary suffering and traumatic events. Adults can and should be actively doing more for the children around the world.
It’s hard to feel “normal.” It’s hard to just go about life knowing how our taxes are spent and how much suffering is happening. Art really is important. Community is essential.
Power to the People. Abolish ICE & the entire Prison Industrial Complex. End the Wars. Every human being is deserving of basic humanity
