2nd digital piece. Every stroke is an experiment.
Stumbled into some really cool happy accidents. Discovered a brush with a nice taper that handled well halfway through the linework which doubled my work speed.
Tried a blend of flat color + shading/highlights, before swapping to a more cell shade look, but kept my layers for fill. A filter on the shading layer increased the contrast and I think added a lot of depth.
I thought my lines were in a dark blue, but against the darker navy hues it looked like a light purple. I tried messing with blending layers, and somehow wound up brightening the lines, which gave way for a cool silvery effect I loved.

Haven't been keeping up with my practice since last year tbh, but discovered by Dad's tablet could download sketchbook apps.
Tried replicating the feel of pencil, then ink lining. Deffo feel like I don't have the same precision/tactile control, but I assume that'll grow with practice.
Playing with a charcoal brush for shading and then bg coloring was rad. Will continue exploring.
