A question I get frequently asked is, "how do you become a sound designer?" Unfortunately, a significant barrier new designers and composers face when starting out is having the $ to spring for gear. I was lucky that friends and colleagues lent me some of their old tools to play around with before I could afford my own.
I have made a "sound designer starter kit" complete with the basic hardware (aside from a computer and speakers) for a home studio. If you would like to borrow it, please DM me and I will drop it off anywhere in Toronto in a "contactless delivery" style.
