Putting the finishing touches to the next @splitboxbanduk record. Always a laugh a minute when we’re working together, but we still hammer through everything like a well oiled machine, which is how I love to work! These guys are longtime friends who I’ve toured with, recorded and written music with on and off since about 2004 maybe? Good times!
For those wondering, the M149 won the vocal shootout for Paul’s lead vocal. Stereo vocal world was up from the start so they could jump in and throw any group vocal ideas down as they came to mind. I like this configuration so I can just have the band move across the room in from of the mics for the stereo placement, as opposed to just panning a single mic. It’s more fun this way and I feel it gives a real sense of space in the room too.
These arrived in our East of England office today! If your kitchen cupboard or work desk doesn’t have one of these then you need to have a word with yourself and sort your life out!
