The days are getting longer, but they also seem to be getting darker with news of war, bigotry and discrimination here in the US. In our way, Care Café is responding—by sowing seeds of hope and care.
This month, we’re teaming up with both the Hetrick-Martin Institute and the Arab-American Family Support Center to celebrate Arab-American Heritage month and welcome in the springtime 🌷
Through playful, community-centered activities, we’ll plant intentions, share messages, and connect across cultures and generations. We might even have a short Speak Out session! So if you have a heritage poem, healing quote, anti-war rant, or relevant announcement to share, do bring it along.
As usual, there will be light refreshments—this time including Arabic coffee, tea, and small bites like baklava, ma’amoul and more!
RSVP with La Mama to let us know you are coming or drop in anytime between 5-7 pm.
