Check out a Cultural Pass for a free pair of tickets to Jaguar Sun at the Hult Center, a great musical event. The cultural passes will be available for checkout on Monday, May 11th at the Springfield Public Library while supplies last. The show starts Sunday, May 17th at 7 p.m at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, City of Eugene!
Jaguar Sun is the solo project of Canadian multi-instrumentalist Chris Minielly. Brought to life in the small Southern Ontario town of Elmira, Chris took inspirations such as Big Thief, Goth Babe, Beach Fossils, Frightened Rabbit and Youth Lagoon and dove into producing music of his own. Now residing in Toronto Chris continues to record and produce from his DIY home studio treading his own line between Dream Pop, Rock, and Folk.

The Springfield Public Library is happy to be a part of May is Bike Month. Come down and check out a bicycle related book and get some free swag. Library Director Emily David celebrated by riding her bike to work on Friday, May 1st!
We are hosting bike-themed storytimes this week at our regular storytimes, and kids can also come draw themsleves on a bike to put up on our Bike Month road at the front desk! Look for more bike fun for the month at webikelane.org including tune-ups, history rides, and e-bike and scooter night rides!
Saturday, May 23rd at 11 a.m. We will be part of the Library to Library Community Ride with @Eugene Public Liibrary! We will start at Eugene Public Library and ride to Springfield with some fun activities along the way. Get more info on our calendar or the Bike Month calendar.

Art Walk Friday night, May 8, 2026 at the Springfield City Hall Gallery. View the photography of Kenji Shimizu, the 2026 Springfield Arts and Culture Awards - Excellence in Arts winner, exhibit titled; The Way It Felt and enjoy live music performed by Elizabeth Cable from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Youth Art Gallery
Each year, A3 High School students present an end of the year review in their area of major. The students with the highest quality portfolios & presentations are awarded honors in their major. Enjoy this exhibition by these exceptional artists and their art for this academic year 2025/26.
The City Hall Gallery is always a great stop on a rainy or sunny day and is open whenever city hall is! Walk through when you visit the library, and 5-7pm at the 2nd Friday art walks - where you can meet the artist, enjoy some refreshments, and meet some of your Springfield Arts Commissioners.
