At long last, The Third Temple has been erected! The long-awaited sophomore full-length is out now on Double LP and CD formats from Invictus Productions. Spite extends gratitude to the Patrons of the Temple who have patiently awaited this release since the coming of the Antimoshiach, as well as those who had a hand in its creation, including @jamieeltonsound for crafting the sound of the album, @taraatefi for bringing its themes to life on its cover, @karmazid for the additional artwork that adorns the interior of the Temple, @only.light.remains for capturing the image of Salpsan, @paul__plane for invaluable assistance in developing the look of the album, and of course @invictus_productions for the nearly decade-long support. All orders will ship out in the coming weeks as we process the great number of them that have come in since the initial preorders. Extra longsleeves, as well as the Antimoshiach reissue, are now available on the Spite Bandcamp.

Centered around the enigmatic Salpsan, Spite is a one-man black metal force violently birthed from Brooklyn, New York. As one of the most unrelenting figures in the current underground, the multi-instrumentalist (and visionary label chief) has committed to crafting (and curating) vile metal that blends a uniquely blasphemous narrative with searing riff-craft in a parasitically catchy and unflinchingly violent sound.
Spite has spent over a decade shaping its attack from the earliest Desecration Rites demo, to the entrancing Trapped In The Pentagram 7-inch, and the seminally scathing full-length Antimoshiach. All executed with raw, analog spirit that matched frenetic aggression to occultted storytelling, establishing Salpsan’s vision and laying a foundation of desecratory intensity. From there, Spite continued to build on its own mythology, sprawling into the blasphemous apocrypha.
In September 2024, Spite unveiled The Third Temple, a sprawling twelve-track opus that weaves biblical lore and satanic concept into dense, dynamic blackened metal. Drawing from classic influences while asserting its own aggressive identity, the record reaffirmed the project’s singular voice and deepened its thematic scope.
Throughout its existence, Spite has maintained a strong underground presence combining meticulous musical blackness alongside esoteric sensibility to chase a Great Work of embodied ritual intensity. At Covenant XI, Spite will bring this decade of blasphemous creation to Vancouver (and Canada!) for the very first time. Let this initiation truly tear open the mouth of Hell as we have designed!

"The most significant change and improvement from the previous record, which was also excellent, is the sense of scale. The overall songwriting is much more layered and complex, while the instrumentation is kept simple and there aren't synths or effects, everything is enhanced, the riffs are much more aggressive and ornate, the drumming is wildly eclectic, the bass lines are forceful and melodic, and so on. Though the element that truly gives the album and music that grand sense of scale is the vocals. Salpsan's vocals fit in that distinctly American style of growled vocals that can be heard in early USBM bands like Profanatica, and he's always being good at it, however, he actually varies his vocals, doing dramatic choirs, high-pitch screaming, and some whispers and spoken words, depending of a given song's atmosphere and vibe."

ONE YEAR OF THE THIRD TEMPLE
On this day one year ago, The Third Temple was released. Serving as both prequel and sequel to preceding works, The Third Temple further unfolds the apocrypha of Salpsan, the Antichrist incarnate, and his rise to the throne of Earth. In ancient days, the temples of Solomon and Herod each stood in Jerusalem and fell to forces both mortal and divine. In its first two segments, The Third Temple recounts the fates of these edifices and the powerful sacred relics they housed, as well as the consequential rise of dark forces which lurked below them in wait for their inevitable destruction. In the third segment, the world awaits the erection of a new Temple as religions new and old vie for the rights to the sacred soil of the Holy Land, while the Antimoshiach must determine his own role in the future of Satan’s kingdom on Earth.
