Hi, we’re Amanda & Courtney — the duo behind Spirited Ink Studios. Somehow… it’s been ONE YEAR 😱 since we started mixing words + watercolor 🖋️🎨
In our first year, we:
💖 Hosted 21 events (markets, pop-ups, workshops, and private gatherings)
💖 Expanded into poetry art workshops & private events (DM us if you’re curious!)
💖 Created more than 50 custom poetry commissions - 4x6 art pieces and bookmarks
💖 Launched our Tiny Truth gacha machine - our take on a haiku fortune cookie, with a fun surprise
A few things people ask us:
- No, we don’t do tattoos (the “ink” is from the typewriter 😉)
- No, we don’t have a physical studio… yet 👀
But, yes really:
- Yes, it’s a real, working, vintage typewriter
- Yes, every piece is truly one of a kind (we’ve tried replicating it and it doesn’t work)
- Yes, we write and paint live on the spot
We’d love to collaborate on:
✨ Private events
✨ Workshops & creative experiences
✨ Pop-ups & vendor markets
Looking ahead to 2026 with so much gratitude. Thanks for being part of our story - let’s make something beautiful together.
📩 DM or email us to collaborate!
We had such a blast at last week’s resident event!
Amanda and Courtney from @spiritedink.studios were simply the best — crafting haikus on the spot after getting to know each of our residents and creating beautiful watercolor designs to bring their poems to life.
Thank you both for sharing your talent and making the evening so special 🎨✨

Yesterday I got a reminder that magic still exists in the world.
I was on the train on the way home from work and the woman beside me started talking to her dad on her phone. The way she spoke was familiar - I couldn’t hear her dad but it seemed like he has dementia.
I debated talking to her and eventually gathered up the courage. It turns out that I was right. We shared how difficult it is. I told her about HFC and the support group I’m a part of and that she should join.
It felt like serendipity. I wasn’t sitting in my usual seat on the train, she decided to talk to her dad at that particular moment. Another crazy coincidence - she just came back from her honeymoon in the Philippines! She said the food was amazing in the Philippines and I have to agree ☺️
It was such a touching moment and conversation. I didn’t get her contact information but I wish I did.
I’d love to reconnect with her. If you know of someone whose first name starts with S, recently got married to someone who is at least half Filipino, let me know :)
Just goes to show that you can find little pockets of joy and whimsy where you least expect it.
