It’s been a while. I’ve had a pretty bad flu and work has been busier the last couple of months. Working my way back into this creative, meditative practice as we head into 2026. Some things may never change. Including my love of shimmer and the night skies. #watercolourlandscape #watercolournightsky
Fall is upon us.
The other day, I was walking down the street, a lot of times when I do this I like to look for details on the ground and in my surroundings.
As we dive deeper into fall, the leaves are starting to change and the ground is covered, in some areas with fallen leaves. I love to occasionally pick one up that looks interesting and take it home.
In this instance, I placed it between a couple of books to flatten it out as it was a little damp and a little curved. I knew I wanted to trace it and kind of draw it and then throw some paint into the mix.
So this is my journal entry with that thought in mind playing around with attempts to sketch and adding some fall hues, and a lot of shimmer.
