It's been autumn break and most of our kids are away on adventures... Which gave me the chance to update one of our rooms in the school with an underwater landscape! This motive is one that I can remember doing over and over as a kid, slightly improving for every try. It was such a pleasure to finally make this in a bigger scale.

As you might have noticed our lady de Lapaz has gotten even darker. Unfortunately the paint job I've done on her face for over 2 weeks time was not dark enough, so I had to redo her tone two days before the opening.. Doing a paint job this big and at that hight is quite challenging considering the shaky scaffolding, strong sun and wind, glossy paint, drippage, hardening time, ect... So I'll just be happy with how it turned out ✌🏿

It’s been a very busy month, but with the Easter break I finally had the chance to paint another mural at the school. A few students were still around, and since we have a strict “no posting kids” policy (fair enough!), I ended up editing out everyone who walked through this busy hallway — which was basically half the video 😂
Our caretaker had lots of fun with the colors, and I was asked to create something in this white space between a purple corridor and a dark blue one. Bit by bit, an Avatar-inspired landscape started to take shape and grow into place.

Pretending its summer in this lovely dress Ive re-tailored to fit! Took the outer pockets and turned them into a belt and added black lines to elongate and define the waist. Also added hidden pockets and cup pockets for that bra less experience 😎
