nepal on film 🎞️ apparently all it takes is hiking the annapurna circuit in the himalayas to get you over the fear of using up roll after roll of film without the normal guilt! 107 frames developed 🎥
this trip was utterly magical 🌲 the new friends, the unbelievable mountains, the avalanches, the culture, the spirituality, the people, the food 🥟 if you can travel to nepal, DO IT!
now I have to promise to print my film pics and put them in an album before the scans get lost amongst the digitals;)

This is the Annapurna Circuit 🇳🇵 higher than everest base camp, nearly 7000m of elevation over 10 days, more varied landscapes than I’ve ever seen on any other trek (rainforest, semi-desert, snow, glaciers) and the kindest people 🥹
Thank you to the most wonderful group of brave, sweet and funny people who chose to travel with me - I never expected to go home with 6 genuinely real new friends ❤️ and to Prakriti, the most incredible guide who kept us safe and giggling the whole way, and is a true friend and inspiration 🌿

The ULTIMATE packing list 🇳🇵 here’s everything I’m taking to Nepal to hike the Annapurna circuit and some other cool adventures! 🥾
My kit weighs 10kg and fits in an 80L @passengerclothing bag for international travel, and I’ll move some into my 30L @klattermusen day bag when the hike begins! I’ve borrowed a few things I didn’t have already like walking poles and gaiters, but pretty much all of this can be purchased in Kathmandu from discounted outdoor gear shops. I’ll be hiring a thick down jacket when I’m there 🏔️
I’ve used packing cubes mostly so I know where things are rather than everything being in a huge jumble in the bag, and I’ll put each one in a ziplock so there’s extra waterproof protection (and to keep wet/sweaty clothes separate) 💦

first rule: layers! 🧣second rule: waterproof ☔️ everything else… completely up to you! spring is unpredictable and spring hiking and adventures normally involve every weather condition squeezed into one day, so stuff all those layers in a bag and you’ll be comfortable, safe and prepared for it all!

sicily with mum 🍋🇮🇹 olive harvesting season, ceramics and sparkling seas! jusssst perfect🐠
in november I’d driven from the UK through 8 countries including Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Montenegro until I got the ferry over to the south of Italy … a new set of injectors for the van later, and mum and I ended up in Sicily for some non-van time to give Remi a chance to recover (rack up an expensive bill 🙃)
we stayed a few nights east of Palermo, and the rest on the north west tip of sicily, but I’d love to drive around the rest of the coast (and all over the island!) 🌵
as I was born in the north of Italy, I’ve explored a lot there, and quite a bit of central Italy and as far south as Puglia, but more time in Calabria and Sicily is needed next! 🦀
