Amidst the radio crackle of coded noise and scrambled signals, the sounds of a theremin can just be made out. Grounded in the Shetland Islands, a RAF pilot dreams of flying, while through the London smog a librarian gazes out at the stars. Their marriage is stretched by time and space.
