Our officers teamed up with @spikeawareuk and @bevgardien ahead of Valentine's Day to raise awareness around drink spiking.
We visited a range of venues across Birmingham and Wolverhampton city centres to speak with staff and customers about the realities of spiking.
We spoke to venue managers about the procedures they have in place to protect customers and handed out anti-spiking lids. We also provided reassurance to those on their nights out, by talking about how police and partners work together to make nights out safer for everyone.

Sniffer dogs helping to stop spikers! š¶šØ Thames Valley Police have introduced trained dogs to detect drugs in clubs, a game-changing move in the fight against spiking.
Colin, co-founder of Spike Aware UK, said: āI love the dog idea, itās fantastic. They detected such a small amount of the drugs that were hidden. Their idea of just walking down the line of folk queuing to enter the club is going to really scare potential spikers.ā
