maypleef is an incredibly talented dj who began producing a couple of years ago! her “spring hits” ep has showcased her sound perfectly, with sprinkles of jungle, footwork and halftime across her sets. founder of @therhythmofgiving , she’s always given back to the community 💜!

NRG007: SOPH - ‘WASTE MY TIME’
NRG CRU returns with its seventh release, NRG007, and it’s a serious one. Sheffield DJ and producer Soph steps up with “Waste My Tiime”, a high-energy club weapon that sits right at the intersection of bassline and footwork.
Known for sets that jump effortlessly between club, garage, juke and footwork, Soph brings that same versatility into the studio. “Waste my time” takes clear inspiration from Sheffield’s classic bassline sound, but flips it with a fast-paced 160 BPM footwork twist — fun, bouncy and built to move bodies.
Soph’s previous releases have already seen support from platforms like BBC Radio 1 Introducing, and beyond her own productions she’s also worked behind the scenes producing and engineering tracks for a range of established and emerging rappers. This one feels right at home on NRG CRU.
