Um retrato da Kirsten Neuschäfer, uma navegadora sul africana que ganhou a Golden Globe Race deste ano, uma regata de circumnavegação a solo e sem assistência eletrónica como gps ou auto pilot.
Deu a volta ao mundo em 235 dias e ainda resgatou um concorrente cujo veleiro afundou.

Fiz este mural num bunker em Lorient, um lugar que vive para a vela oceânica e onde, sem eu saber de antemão, a Kirsten passaria uns dias mais tarde.
Foi com imensa alegria que recebi uma foto dela junto ao mural que lhe dediquei.

A portrait of Kirsten Neuschäfer, a south african sailor who won this year's Golden Globe Race, a single handled and non assisted offshore race, without eletronics such as gps or auto pilot.
She went around the world in 235 days and rescued a fellow competitor along the way.

I painted this mural in a bunker in Lorient, a place that lives for offshore sailing and where, without me knowing beforehand, Kirsten would pass a few days later.
I was very happy and thrilled by receiving pictures of her standing by the painting i did of her.

Lots of amazing artwork to spot in the streets, great artists live painting at the festival, this city has such a cool vibe.
