I shall be running a days letterpress course at @doubleelephantprintworkshop on the 6th June (10am - 4pm), where we get creative with a fine array of wonderful antique wooden letters of varying sizes!

"I know as course tutor you shouldn't have a favourite print (or you shouldn't admit to it)" writes DE's lino tutor @speckprints "but I particularly love this one by Trish O'Carroll as it does everything (in my opinion) a lino print should do. It is abstract but hints at the figurative, the key plate (black) is doing the heavy lifting with the secondary plate (grey) both disrupting and enhancing it, with the overlaying textures playing with the sense of foreground and background and the strong red adding energy and 'pop'. The added bonus is that it also works whichever way you turn it!"

Here at Double Elephant we are great believers in the maxim that an unused press is an unhappy press...so we have decided to sell our spare Adana 8x5 press.

It is in tip-top condition as it has been barely used since we purchased it as a second press around 8 years ago from a nice man in Great Torrington who rescued & refurbished Adana presses (since retired I believe).

It comes with the removable inking plate, an Adana chase (worth about £30), two new Caslon rollers (worth about £70), 4 runners (worth about £30) and as can be seen, a counter. It is mounted on a secure wooden board and is good to go!

All of this can be yours for £450. Collection preferred but can courier it if required at an extra cost.
