The Devil In Cell-Block D
Once again, I find myself let down by the Born Again season finale. Daredevil going to prison is one of my favorite comic book arcs, the way Bendis and Brubaker handled the downward spiral of depression and self-sabotage in Matt Murdock makes it so much more impactful when he inevitably goes to jail.
I always wanted it to be adapted into live action, but I did not like the way it was handled thematically, nor the fact that he wasn’t locked up with any of his classic villains.

I love this iconic moment from Daredevil #170 where Frank Miller makes the Kingpin is own using only lighting techniques. It’s a masterclass in how the most subtle differences in light and contrast create atmosphere.
