We checked it out tonight and honestly… this is one of the coolest interactive sporting events we’ve seen hit Melbourne.
Taking over more than 6,000sqm at The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne, NBA House Australia brings together basketball, gaming, music and pop culture all in one huge space for fans of all ages.

Australia’s first-ever NBA House Australia will arrive in Melbourne NEXT THURSDAY, transforming @the_timberyard into a four-day basketball and culture experience from 14 May – 17 May, in celebration of the 2026 NBA Playoffs.
Headlining the debut Australian event will be NBA All-Stars @jaren and @boogiecousins who will appear across the four days through fan moments and meet-and-greets.
NBA House Australia will feature interactive basketball activities, live NBA playoffs viewing, gaming zones, music, exclusive merchandise, food and drink and photo opportunities across both day and evening sessions.
Live entertainment across the evening sessions will include performances from DJ Nino Brown on Thursday 14 May, Baker Boy on Friday 15 May, 3-on-3 Celebrity Game on Saturday 16 May and Tye Turner on Sunday 17 May. Fans can also expect appearances from the Sacramento Kings Dancers, dunk team performances and team mascot Slamson.
