“Hey Meta, how to blow up after 170km?”
7h20’. Not the sub-7 goal I came for, and honestly that stings a little. But today means way more than a number on the clock. After two knee surgeries, months of rehab, gym sessions, pain, patience and endless training rides… I can finally say the recovery journey is over.
This race was more than a result: it was proof that I’m back. And after everything these past months demanded, I’m proud of what I managed to do out there.
Now it’s time to push harder than ever, find my absolute best shape, and come back next year ready to squeeze every drop out of the lemon. 🍋
Huge thank you to everyone who stood by my side through these months — you know who you are. 🫶🏼
Dust, heat and endless horizons.
The Sahara Gravel Race was more than just a race, it was a journey.
Day after day, kilometer after kilometer with @andy_bici , sharing the pace, the effort and every decision. In a pairs race, you’re never really riding alone.
Even when three punctures on the last day tried to change the ending… we kept pushing.
The last one forced us to split for the final 11 km — part of racing.
But the goal was already clear.
1st place pair 🏆
An adventure I won’t forget anytime soon. 🤝🏜️🚴
