Girls Rock London is becoming Spark The Noise! 💥🎵💥🎵
After consulting with our community, we have made the decision to change our name to Spark The Noise to better reflect who we are, who we’re for and what we do.
Here’s the thinking behind our name update:
We support ALL marginalised genders: girls, women, trans, nonbinary and gender non-conforming youth and adults 💖
While we love rock music, this is not the only genre we encourage at camp! 🎤
We are currently based in London, but have hopes to expand beyond the capital in the future 🚀
After much workshopping, we settled on the name Spark The Noise because we felt it captures the purpose of our organisation: we want participants in our programmes to find their voice, we want to ignite their creativity, and most of all we want to encourage them to make NOISE! 🗣️

This August in Hackney: join the Spark the Noise Music Camp! 🎵💥
Our music camp is open to 11-17 year old girls, trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming youth. Throughout the week, campers will learn the basics of an instrument, play in a band, and write and perform an original song!
No previous musical experience is needed, and beginners are particularly encouraged - our Spark the Noise instrument tutors will have daily sessions with campers to show them the fundamentals.
This year’s summer camp will take place in Hackney from Monday 18th to Saturday 23rd August 2025. 📍
We have 25 places available at Spark The Noise summer camp, and we are ring fencing a portion of these places for trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming youth. 🏳️⚧️

At Spark the Noise Summer Camp our campers can choose from one of five different instruments to play: 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙢𝙨, 𝙨𝙮𝙣𝙩𝙝, 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙧, 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙢 𝙥𝙖𝙙 𝙤𝙧 𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙧!
Campers will play their chosen instrument in a brand new band - and everyone has the opportunity to sing if they’d like to as well! 🎙️
