Throw back to our visit in January 26 with the @studio44mocaplab@ciegillesjobin team of @yenniechou@vmstudiotw in Taipei. It was amazing to share our work and think about future collaborations. Brother first — or younger brother first?
Here’s what audiences who started with the younger brother had to say.
//the first part (younger brother) is not a lot of text… kind of stuck in a place where you cannot go away and there are some connections coming to you, but you cannot control. And in the other part, where there is all this beautiful text and all these beautiful emotional letters and these songs, then you keep thinking of this other person that is in the other side, and sometimes you kind of have a lot of images coming back.
I think it's very well connected, and I'm really, really happy that I could see both sides.
前半部分的文字不多，卻會讓你莫名覺得，彷彿被困在某個地方走不了，各種情緒和聯想不斷湧來，卻又身不由己。到了後半部分，那些動人的文字、飽含情感的信箋還有歌聲，會讓你不斷想起遠在另一頭的那個人，過往的畫面也時不時湧上心頭。
這兩部分的銜接做得真的很好，我也很慶幸能完整看完全部。//

What a mesmerizing performance by Butoh dancer and choreographer Conan Amok @amkcnn in the mytical @dairakudakan.temptenshiki in Tokyo. Seeing the piece first row, in good company with @spanadiaz and @s_ohata , was an incredible experience! @francoischaignaud knows! The little shake of the earth we felt during pre show dinner was a good omen! I hope this incredible performer will tour his great work in Europe soon! We’ll be following #Butoh is live, and alive!
