Our one and only VIC Sales Rep… Mr Glenn Read
Glenn has been on board with Spa Electrics for just over two years now, but it can be hard to snap a picture of him as he usually prefers to be behind the camera.
Bringing a strong background in sales from the decking industry, Glenn has become a key part of our VIC presence. He’s out on the ground supporting customers, building relationships, and keeping a strong social media presence on Instagram @spaelectrics_vic_rep_gr
When he’s not talking pool lighting, Glenn’s a big part of the Melbourne music scene. Odds are, if he’s not at a gig, he’s out finding great food or cooking up a storm at home. When asked his favourite meal to cook we got a pretty vague answer ““brisket… ribs…. Smokey stuff? Roast lamb, pork, chicken, beef?” but if anything, that just backs up his general passion for cooking.
For some fun facts, we had to turn to a third party for answers… his wife reports that Glenn is the best drummer in all of Mount Evelyn—and the best cook too (no suburb restrictions on that one) 🧑🍳
Other than that, he also knows all the words to Die Hard and Terminator 🎬
After two years with Spa Electrics, Glenn says his favourite thing about the role has been the people, the company, and the variety of the job itself.
Supporting an Australian-made brand makes all the difference, and it’s a huge advantage being able to drop into the Dandenong head office to ask any questions that come up. There may not always be an immediate answer, but the team consistently follows through and works to find one.
No two days are the same. Connecting with people, solving problems and supporting the industry is what it’s all about for Glenn!

Come replace an SE3 with Kevin 🎬
With 50 years in the underwater lighting business, there are quite a few old Spa Electrics lights still out there!
One of the earliest Spa Electrics models was our SE3 series, which was a surface-mounted halogen light. These can be tricky to replace, as some units were installed with a suction outlet behind them, meaning the light also acted as a suction cover.
⚠️ When replacing one of these lights, always check to see if there’s a suction point behind the fitting.
If you’re unsure, our friendly office team is always happy to guide you through the steps to check the correct replacement.
In this instance, our QLD Sales Rep, Kevin, replaced an old SE3 (without a suction point) with our GKRX series.
