excited to announce a new film series at @spacydtx !! FRACTURED LUST: cinema for the debasers As a millennial child who grew up at night, raised by cable porn, I wanted to host a series of explicit programming for my Texan freaks. HBO Late Night and Skinemax (iykyyk) were formative to my adult inclinations, and with porn so accessible these days, I feel nostalgic for that sense of discovery calibrating a satellite dish at 2am to glimpse the grainiest, softest-core tits for just 10 seconds. This is an ode to Real Sex and Taxicab Confessions and uncensored Comedy Central, to cruising in a cinema and XXX spaces, everything that made us pervs. 🙇🏼‍♀️ ABUSE OF WEAKNESS plays 5/16 at 7p 🍆 DILDO HEAVEN plays 5/23 at 8p 📸 A SNAKE OF JUNE plays 5/24 at 6p & 5/26 at 7:30p 🩸 LORNA THE EXORCIST plays 6/11 at 7:30p 🚍 SHORTBUS plays 6/12 at 8p We’re going to turn Spacy into a porn theater 😈 so come through to discover the erotic, the psychosexual, the unsimulated, the macabre and queer. (Free drinks on me if you make out during the screenings 🥰) RUNS MAY 16TH THRU JUNE 12TH ***stay tuned for the SEX CONFESSIONS reading announcement***

“DILDO HEAVEN is a nudie cutie channeled from a simpler time” — Cinapse The new digital restoration of DILDO HEAVEN, from the iconic octogenarian filmmaker and “Queen of Sexploitation” Doris Wishman, plays Spacy May 23rd! This screening is part of the “Fractured Lust” series programmed by @misc_en_scene Roommates Lisa, Beth, and Tess are three young women who each share the same goal of hooking up with their respective male bosses. While their attempts at seduction get off to a rough start, their peeping tom neighbor Billy spends his days spying through keyholes and trying to get a piece of the action. Will these roommates finally make it with their managers? And what about Billy? A charming shot-on-video sex comedy that defies all description–and surely the only movie by a senior citizen to feature an original rap theme song–Dildo Heaven (also known as Desperate Desires) is a fitting swan song for one of the most beloved cult filmmakers of all time.

"A powerful example of art being used to exorcise personal demons that is anchored by two stunning performances and some of the most gripping moments to be seen in any film so far this year." -- Roger Ebert ABUSE OF WEAKNESS plays Spacy May 16trh! ABUSE OF WEAKNESS is director Catherine Breillat's adaptation of Bad Love with the infamous decision to cast the notorious “swindler of the stars”, Christophe Rocancourt, fresh from a jail term for fraud. Over the next several months, Rocancourt took advantage of Breillat’s condition and stood by her side as she wrote him checks amounting to €650,000. She later took him to court won her case, and chronicled the experience in a book that she has now adapted into a uniquely haunting film, with a bold, tough performance by Isabelle Huppert as the Breillat figure. This screening is part of the “Fractured Lust” series programmed by @misc_en_scene

Texasville, Peter Bogdanovich, 1990, USA, 126 min The summer of 1984: 32 years after Duane Jackson captained the high school football team and Jacy Farrow was homecoming queen, the small town of Anarene, Texas prepares for its centennial celebration.
