Space Station Sixty-Five is very pleased to announce the extension of our current exhibition, Nothing is Real to Saturday 10th May! Nothing is Real, which started in October 2024, has featured a series of events and a substantial turnout of visitors who have actively engaging with the show. In response to the overwhelming demand expressed, we are pleased to announce an extension of the show, in order to enable those who have not yet managed to visit to attend. This show takes a deep dive into Steven Appleby’s life and work—it’s filled with fascinating insights and unique pieces to explore. It is Steven’s biggest show of his career, with over 100 works that explore themes of sex, death, secrets, aging, gender, and identity. All of the work is imprinted with his trademark absurdist humour and his obsession with revealing what lies beneath the surface. Please make sure to follow our instagram, sign up for our email newsletter, and check our website for upcoming events. Open weekly Wednesday to Saturday 12.00 - 18.00 Exhibitions and events are free. Everyone is welcome, our gallery and all-gender bathrooms are fully wheelchair accessible.

Thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition over these past months — from opening day on October 5th, 2024, through the extended months, to our final moments on May 10th, 2025, it’s been an incredible journey. Though we wish it could go on forever, all good things eventually must come to an end. We’re so grateful to every single person who came through the doors, spent time with the work, and shared in this experience. Your presence, and your conversations, expanded the exhibition to make it even greater! Endless thanks to the invigilators, the brilliant security crew, and the wonderful team at Space Station Sixty-Five who pulled it together. To the organisers, panelists, writers, photographers, art hangers, collaborators, performers, guest artists, and everyone else who poured their energy into this — we couldn’t have done it without you. A very special thank you, of course to Steven, for allowing us into the curious, heartfelt, and endlessly imaginative world of Steven/Nancy Appleby. Your work has brought joy, introspection, insight, laughter, reflection, and connection to so many. Steven created a place where the personal becomes cosmic, the absurd becomes profound, and the line between reality and dream feels beautifully thin. Thank you for reminding us how expansive, engaging, thought-provoking, playful and funny art can be! _ To stay updated on Steven Appleby's work and future exhibitions, you can follow him at @thelandofstevenappleby
