VOX NON INCERTA Electroacoustic Performance Drama a work by @outersnc featuring @savina_yannatou , @kristia.michael , @kass.ka , @elen.xyd , @_and_ria_ , @eviroumani , @jannisanastasakis , #charispazaroulas, #kostastzekos • and @antoniou.musik , @dshmms TOWARDS CONTINUITY AND SURVIVAL - EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO SO The Electroacoustic Performance Drama VOX NON INCERTA (Voice Without Uncertainty), revolves around the search for the inner voice that manages to rescue people from chaos and pushes them towards continuity and survival, even when it seems impossible to do so. Focusing on an iron construction-shelter with 33 notches that allow the observation of its interior, the audience is invited to take a position in front of a hidden agonizing existence, transforming itself, during the succession of the scenes unfold. Language dialects and symbols derived from international codes and communication signals are activated, combined with ritual traditions from the Bildakt Orchestra, the Paratroopers and the Optical Signal. 17 -18 December 2023 at 20:00 @garage_art_space , Nicosia THE CARTOGRAPHER AND HER CHORUS: A DREAMSCAPE MONODRAMA Audiovisual Performance Installation The interdisciplinary research group Space of Tapes presents the collaborative audiovisual performance installation piece, The Cartographer and Her Chorus: a dreamscape monodrama involving five artists from Cyprus, Greece, and Spain. Taking dream incubation rituals as a starting point, this work maps performative bodies within a topography of sculptures, video projections, soundscapes, and live music. Dream incubation rituals, practiced by many ancient cultures, refer to the practise of sleeping in a sacred precinct to intentionally experience and nurture a divinely inspired dream, often associated with healing or prophecy. During a four-week research residency, the Nicosia Buffer Zone operated as the alchemical site for a modern incubation, while the chimeric forms of the sculptures of Simis Soukiouroglou, created in the space of this zone  - crack, evoked a strong metaphor on the world of images emerging from the unconscious, where things can die and provide energy, or compost, for transformation. VOX on BIRTHDAY CATCH presents an audiovisual act in which the voice of the reaction becomes the image of absolute care, unveiling the kinship between two gestures that defy logical parameters and move beyond the limits of our existence. In light of the artwork "Unlearning is to play around" (Evi Roumani, 2023) and the fact of the common identification of Cypriot and Greek textbooks in public school education, the visitors are encouraged to intervene in the fonts whilst deviating from doctrinal disinformation, symbols of division, manipulation, and unnecessary calligraphy. The UNBALANCED FONT Series represents an anti-text, participatory intervention, with an emotionally charged voice that aims to rewrite the teachings of our native world. KINS Some nouns are countable and some are uncountable. KIN can be used with both, with a Greek sigma "_" added at the end, it symbolically emphasizes togetherness. "KINS" is an avant-garde, sentimental sound and video duo by Stella N.Christou and Evi Roumani - originating from the spheres of friendship.
