A game of beautiful butterflies and buzzy bees… how great does that sound? This game has been the perfect way to sneak a little spring into the end of winter 🌱 ___ 🐝 Buzzin’ Picnic - Board Game Review 🐝 ✏️ @spaceguildgames 👥 2 - 6 Players 🕖 15 - 30 Mins Enjoy a picnic whilst guiding the friendly bugs around you to their insect hotels… but don’t let the annoying bugs get to your food! This is a hand management, set-collecting game with light-hearted “take-that” elements. 🐛 A “Bugs-Eyed” View - My Thoughts 🐛 • The rulebook was great at explaining how to play making it quick to learn. It plays fairly quickly - feels like the perfect game for most ages and skill levels, very accessible. • There is a bit of “luck of the draw”, - it feels more pertinent in a 2 player game as you have less steps along your pathway to fill with cards. • So beautiful inside and out - some of my favourite artwork I have seen in a game for a while! But it isn't just for show, the theme matched with the gameplay perfectly - creating an immersive magical experience (unless you don’t like bugs!) • I would have liked the option to make it harder for 2-3 player mode, by flipping the boards over to the three card path, as I felt the smaller path was too easy at times. • There’s a lot of counting in the scoring stage, as the deck is so large! But I liked how extra points can be collected by set collecting, not just from “banking” your bugs. • It was fun tricking people into picking up the “annoying bug” cards, without feeling too mean! I enjoyed having the bug pile, as it added another layer to gameplay and a risky way to collect points. 🐞 Full of Finishing Touches 🐞 This game has incredible detail - The player boards can be used individually (for smaller groups) or interconnected, creating a large playing board - a standout table piece! Another little detail, the rulebook has colouring pages on the first and last page too! Such a fun detail!
