Some random frames from the last few weeks.
Documenting the people I love and my own journey through this medium is a quiet act of rebellion against how fast time moves. It’s my way of pressing pause on a world that refuses to slow down, turning a fleeting glance or a shared laugh into a physical artifact. These frames are more than just images. They are a commitment to keeping us still for a second long enough to appreciate the space we’re occupying together. Love and uplift your peers and support them in all of their creative endeavors.

These abstract 6x6 frames came from the second roll of film I put through the SQ-AM. I messed up by not metering them and just rolling with aperture priority 400ISO 1/500s. 10/12 frames came out unusable but these 2 stood out from the bunch. Lesson learned always use a light meter. Let this be a firm reminder I am not a professional in any way. Im just a guy who fell in love with analog media and everyday I am trying and learning new things about this craft.

📍Eastern Cemetery located at 614 Baxter Ave Louisville , KY
Established in the 1840s, this site became the center of one of the nation’s most shocking burial scandals. For decades, the cemetery operated under a reuse policy meaning they systematically buried bodies on top of existing graves. By the time the practice was exposed in 1989, it was estimated that over 138,000 people were buried in just 48,000 plots. This legacy of over-burial left the grounds abandoned and in legal limbo for years, now cared for by dedicated volunteers (Friends of Eastern Cemetery) who work to restore dignity to those resting beneath the surface. There are witches and children’s grave plots scattered throughout. While it looks like a peaceful neighbor to Cave Hill, Eastern’s history is far more chaotic. When you walk these paths, you’re walking over generations of Louisville’s forgotten history sometimes three or four deep.
A haunting reminder that sometimes, the most peaceful looking places hold the deepest secrets.
