This keyboard surprised me!? 😱
The Float 65 is a keyboard by @m.peckover available over @spacecables 👀 I was incredibly skeptical about it since it was an open air design meaning the whole internal structure was exposed from the sides and back. I expected the board to sound flat and lackluster. However, after building this on stream yesterday, I’m incredibly happy to report it was literally the exact opposite. We built it with Iced Kachang Linears from @keebzncables and GMK Redline from @omnitype and somehow the board sounded full-bodied and deep at the same time. It had some brightness in the alphas/mods and a bit of bass behind the spacebar.
I also really loved the “hammered” look in the Burnished Grey finish, it had that texture that I’m always looking forward to photograph with my macro lens.
Overall for $119 I think this board is actually a unique banger and is something that will definitely make a statement. The Group Buy ends today so if it interests you too, definitely go check it out!
