While last night’s launch attempt for the Crewed Test Flight of Boeing’s Starliner capsule was delayed due to an off nominal LOX valve in the Centaur upper stage of the Atlas V rocket, I’m still so grateful to have had the honor of interviewing Artemis II Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen, the first Canadian who is set to fly around the moon next year. As a bonus, we were timed up perfectly to watch CFT astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams drive past us as they made their way to the launch pad. Liftoff of CFT is now scheduled for no earlier than Friday, May 10th. *huge* thank you to @davidjdphotos for the photos of the interview! #launch #rocket #rockets #rocketlaunch #boeing #star #stars #starliner #ksc #kennedyspacecenter #spacecoast #launchamerica #astronauts #astronaut #spaceflight #aerospace #nasa #nasa🚀 #unitedlaunchalliance #ula #atlas #atlasv #iss #internationalspacestation #liftoff #satellite #launchphotography #canada #artemis #moon

One month ago at this moment✨ Here is the latest iteration of my photo of totality, taken during the April 8th solar eclipse. Quite frankly, I’m still processing what we saw over those four minutes. Original image info: Equipment: Sharpstar 61mm Triplet Refractor ASI533MC Pro EQ6-R Pro Images stacked in Autostakkert, sharpened in Registax6, and merged together in Adobe Photoshop #space #nasa #spacex #stars #astrophotography #spaceflight #astrophoto #spaceexploration #aerospace #milkyway #longexposure #moon #sunset #sun #eclipse #solareclipse #telescope

Earlier this morning I along with a handful other members of the media had the privilege of visiting the Astrotech Space Operations facility to view the GOES-U weather satellite. GOES-U is the latest in a line of weather satellites operated by NOAA which will be sent into geostationary orbit in order to monitor weather conditions on earth and in space. GOES-U is currently set to launch atop a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket on the 25th of this month. 📸: Me for @wearespacescout #launch #rocket #rockets #rocketlaunch #ksc #kennedyspacecenter #spacecoast #launchamerica #astronauts #astronaut #spaceflight #aerospace #nasa #nasa🚀 #liftoff #satellite #launchphotography #spacecraft #weather #weathersatellite #noaa #astro #astronomy #spaceweather

Artemis II: For the Benefit of All Starting at 12:20 this morning, NASA rolled the Artemis II SLS rocket out of the VAB to begin its 11 hour journey to Launch Complex 39B, where it is set to launch astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen around the moon no earlier than April 1st. 📸: Me for @wearespacescout #artemis #artemisii #moon #rocket #nasa

Humanity’s third interstellar visitor✨ Comet 3I/ATLAS was discovered and identified this past July as the third confirmed interstellar object to pass through our solar system. Traveling at an absurd 130,000 mph, 3I/ATLAS also ranks as the fastest comet ever recorded. Last night I was able to collect 73 180 second exposures (3.7 hours total) of this object as it passed through the night sky. Due to this object’s high velocity, these 73 photos must be aligned and stacked relative to the comet, causing the stars in the background to appear trailed. 3I/ATLAS recently had its closest approach to Earth and is rapidly receding from the inner Solar System on a hyperbolic trajectory, continuing its journey back into interstellar space. If you want to capture this object before it exits the solar system permanently, now is the time. Equipment: -Skywatcher Quattro 250P telescope -EQ6-R Pro Mount -ASI533MC Pro -Orion SkyGlow Filter -ASI120MM Mini Guide Camera -Orion 50mm guidescope. Images stacked and edited in Pixinsight and Adobe Photoshop Express. #astrophotography #nasa #comet #interstellar #3iatlas

The final flight of Starship V2🚀 Earlier this evening, viewers from both South Texas and Florida were treated with quite the show as SpaceX’s Starship took off on its 11th integrated flight test. Less than an hour after these photos were taken, Ship 38 successfully completed a soft landing off the coast of Australia, setting the stage for the first launch of Starship V3 sometime next year. 📸: Me for @wearespacescout #spacex #nasa #rocket #rocketlaunch #starship #astrophotography
